Interwest’s IT team reviewed the data export from the old software application, mimicked the look and feel of that system in a new web based application, and provided access to staff of historical data during the transition.
NEED
The City had begun using Accela for new projects and needed historic data to be migrated into Accela.
Eastvale’s contract with ELMS, their existing work order software vendor, was expiring at the end of the year. The fee their consultant responsible for migrating their data to Accela proposed was beyond the City’s budget for the project.
SOLUTION
The City hired Interwest IT to take the export from their ELMS software, format the data into the structure required by their implementation consultant for import into Accela, and provide access to the historical data until their full migration to Accela was complete.
BENEFIT
Interwest IT formatted the data at a significant cost savings to the City. The quick turn around and cost savings fit into the City’s project budget.
Interwest also provided historic access to the City’s data in a format mimicking their old application which required no training for the users during a time of many transitions.
Having a solid gets involved in the working of the data migration as a service. You had provided several samples as well as suggestions with the help of which I had transformed the useful data from one format system to a new one without any objections.
